My 2nd Ireland Wedding was held at a GORGEOUS Cathedral in Tuam, Co. Galway, Ireland on June 19, 2015!
Allen & Michelle are two of the sweetest people & it was SUCH an honor to have been part of their Big Day!
Tuam is a small city just outside of Galway {about 30 minutes away} & the Cathedral of Assumption where Allen & Michelle were Married is just Stunning!
At every Wedding, I was always SO impressed with Irish Wedding Fashion!
{People REALLY dress up & I LOVED photographing them!} 😉
The Cathedral & the grounds surrounding it were absolutely Gorgeous & provided lots of lovely options for Family/Bridal Party Photographs after the Ceremony!
*{AND the rain stopped just long enough for us to get some great shots!}*
Along the procession route between the Ceremony and Reception, I got to witness another really sweet Irish Wedding Tradition unique to the West of Ireland!
A roadside Bon-Fire!!!
Ireland’s kinda small & in the small towns & villages {and sometimes even in the cities} everyone knows each other & when someone get’s Married, everyone in town knows it!!!
So, the locals will sometimes set roadside bon-fires along the procession route to Congratulate the Newlyweds who are on their way to their Reception!
Allen & Michelle had a BIG, Beautiful Reception following their Ceremony at Ard Ri House Hotel & I think I might’ve had as much Fun Photographing this Wedding as their Guests had attending! 😉
Enjoy!
Allen & Michelle – Thank You SO Much for allowing me to be part of such an incredibly special day for the two of you!
Congratulations & Best Wishes for a Long & Happy Life together!
